Our first game of Star Wars Armada was hosted and umpired by Ian. By turn 4 we managed to get the hang of the rules and iron out some of the inevitable errors that occur when rules are played for the first time.
Dave played a Rebel Corvette with 2 X wing squadrons and Chris played the Rebel Frigate also with 2 X Wing squadrons. Tony took command of the Imperial Victory II class Star Destroyer with 6 TIE squadrons.
Tony focused all his fire on the Corvette as it was the weaker of the 2 Rebel ships and by Turn 5 (too be honest I'd lost count) it was destroyed. By this time only 1 TIE squadron remained compared to 2 Rebel X Wings. The Star Destroyer was battered while the Frigate was in good shape. However both remaining ships needed to do a few moves of manoeuvring to get back in target so we called it a day.
To Tony's suprise he won on points!
